Welcome to the HAR.ie webpages. We are the asbestos abatement division of the Harrington Group based in Ireland, offering nationwide asbestos surveys, removal, disposal & remediation. We work in the Public and Private sector, on both small and large contracts, ranging from the removal & reinstatement of pipe insulation and cement roofing to suspended ceiling tiles, artex coating and vinyl flooring. Asbestos is a hazardous material which requires risk accessment, safe controlled removal, packaging, transport & disposal, to comply with Asbestos Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations. At HAR we invest in annual training, medical audits and state of the art removal equipment to control and monitor the health risks associated with asbestos during removal, transport & disposal operations.
To comply with the Asbestos Regulations, HAR carry out risk assessments to determine potential exposure levels for each individual removal task, which is supported by a detailed plan of works method statement. During removal we apply specifically planned techniques to ensure best practice at all times. We offer an experienced and trained asbestos removal labour force, who are supported by one a largest portfolios of plant and safey equipment in the industry.

Asbestos Estimation / Asbestos Surveys /
Asbestos Consultation
Harrington Asbestos Removal provide rapid response advice, asbestos surveys and asbestos estimates before removal work. Asbestos Consultants can carry out surveys to MDHS 100 Standards.
Once Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs), are identified, Harrington Asbestos Removal will provide detailed advice and costing for the safe removal and disposal of any hazardous ACMs and reinstatement where required, for example, replacing asbestos roofs with insulated ‘firesafe’ composite panels.
In many cases asbestos is in good condition and does not present a hazard until disturbed.

Reinstatement
Harrington Asbestos Removal are registered Roofing & Cladding Contractors with extensive experience removing and replacing asbestos corrugated sheeting from domestic sheds / garages to large Industrial Buildings. The vast majority of asbestos roofs which are removed and replaced with composite panels with 80mm firesafe insulation to comply with new energy conservation building regulations, Part L
Hazardous Asbestos Waste Collection
To ensure the highest standards of safety Harrington Asbestos Removal are the holders of their own waste collection permits and ADR transport licences. Only permit holders are allowed to transport hazardous asbestos waste. All waste from removal, is transported by Harrington Asbestos Removal to their disposal site, under licence.
Asbestos Removal – Air Monitoring
During the removal works and on completion air monitoring can be performed to ensure fibre levels in the air are low enough for safe re-entry. A consultant will carry out sample air monitoring to establish the extent of air contamination if any.
