Asbestos Surveys

Harrington Asbestos Removal provide the full range of asbestos surveys, laboratory analysis and asbestos management plans, before any removal work takes place, to comply with the requirements of MDHS 100, which is the HSE method for determination of hazardous substances, ” Surveying, Sampling and Assessment of Asbestos-Containing Materials “.

Our experience covers all building types including offices, factories, domestic housing, hospitals, mines and quarries, civic centres, schools and retail premises. Our Asbestos Consultants are qualified, experienced and insured to carry out surveys to MDHS 100 Standards, to provide compliance with the Duty to Manage Asbestos, whilst taking into account budget and priorities.

Asbestos Survey reports detail the location of materials containing Asbestos, the type and condition of the material, the type of Asbestos present and the risk to the occupants of the building. This includes prioritised recommendations for further action and future management of the Asbestos.

Harrington Asbestos Removal has a team of experienced Asbestos surveyors who are able to perform each of the three types of survey detailed in MDHS 100. The type of survey most appropriate will be dependant upon client/property requirements.

    Asbestos Management Survey – Informative
Refurbishment and Demolition Survey – Intrusive

The control of Asbestos at Work Regulations places an explicit duty on the employer in occupation to manage the risks from Asbestos in their premises. Harrington Asbestos Removal provide detailed advice and costing for the safe removal and disposal of any hazardous Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) once identified. We also reinstatement where required, for example, replacing asbestos roofs with insulated panels, asbestos floors with vinyl / carpet flooring, asbestos ceilings with plasterboard and asbestos pipe lagging with foiled backed mineral fibre wool, etc.
