Asbestos Removal – Air Monitoring

During asbestos removal works personal and background re-assurance air monitoring is performed by HAR to monitor and control exposure below the action level, and on completion clearance air monitoring is performed to ensure fibre levels in the air are below clearance level, in order to allow safe re-entry for re-occupation.

A BOHS Qualified and specifically Insured Asbestos Analyst will carry out visual tests and air monitoring analysis of the work area in order to establish the extent of air contamination, and will issue written certification on completion to allow safe re-entry. In order to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Exposure to Asbestos) Regulations 2006 air monitoring and air clearance certification is specifically required during and after working with asbestos, which HAR implement during and after each removal task to ensure best practice at all times.
